INTRODUCTION

The real estate industry’s “rules of the road” are changing at a dramatic pace.  New incentives for buyers and new regulations for bank compliance are just two examples of our government’s attempts to grapple with the financial uncertainties and promote stability in the real estate market.  My blog is intended to help the consumer stay current and informed of these and other changes.

HOW TO NAVIGATE THE BLOG

√ To the right of this text, you’ll see Metro Referral’s logo.  By clicking on the logo, you will be navigated out of the blog to my website (a new tab in your browser should open).  Should you want to return to the blog, merely click the banner for the blog on my website or select the tab in your browser that should still have the blog open.

√ Want to review listings right now?  Need a mortgage calculator? These and other options are located in the Search Listings Now area.

√ Next, directly below the Search Listings Now section you’ll see a drop down box.  By clicking on the down arrow, a list will open for the different categories in the blog.  When you select a category, you will be able to review content I’ve posted, and you can offer comments should you choose to do so.

√ Want to stay current on breaking real estate news?  I’ve included a news feed from CNN just below the drop down box.  If you see a story that peaks your interest, just click on the title and another page will open with the full story.

√ At the bottom right of the page, you’ll see two links labeled, “Entries RSS” and “Comments RSS”.  What are these about?

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication.  In plain English, if you’re too busy or simply forget to drop by to review any new posts, you can use the power of RSS to send you automatic updates whenever new messages are posted or whenever someone comments.  Many new internet browsers and e-mail clients contain an RSS reader designed to accept this information.  Alternately, Yahoo and Google offer their own free readers.  If you want to be alerted whenever new messages are posted to the blog, just click on “Entries RSS”.  When your browser opens, you’ll see a display of the blog’s messages.  All you have to do to begin receiving updates is copy the line of code that is displayed in your browser’s address box into your reader.  Please refer to instructions in your particular reader on how to activate new feeds.  You’ll never miss a new post with this feature.

If you want to be alerted whenever someone comments on the blog, click on “Comments RSS” and copy and paste the code in your browser’s address box into your reader of choice.  You’ll never miss another comment!
